Social rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in the community 2024 project

In 2024, the accredited Social Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Disabilities in the Community will be continued in the Centre for Psychosocial Activities “Nauja pradžia”.

The aim of the Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities in the Community project is to provide a comprehensive range of social, independent living, learning, work skills development, maintenance or restoration services, based on the nature, severity and specificity of the disability, aimed at empowering persons with disabilities to live independently in the community, to develop and participate in the labour market or employment activities.

Financed by Klaipėda City Municipality, Ministry of Social Security and Labour.

Community-Based Social Rehabilitation for People with Disabilities Consists of Two Main Services:

1. Development, maintenance, and/or restoration of social and/or daily independent living skills and abilities by providing general knowledge and practical training to solve problems arising from disability in daily life and/or the environment.
2. Development, restoration, and/or enhancement of learning, employment, and/or work skills to help individuals prepare for, enter, and/or sustain employment in the labor market or participate in employment-related activities.

Additional services may be provided based on individual needs:

• Development of active mobility and healthy lifestyle skills.
• Enhancement and/or maintenance of self-expression skills and artistic abilities.

Target Group: Individuals with disabilities, aged 18 and over.
